Hi all, i would like to start vanquishing on my monk

i'd like to try sabway or discordway, but also a frontline hero for dmg.. in 4 person areas

any pve skills i should have?

any tips on sabway/discordway with a monk?

Switch the healer for a Tank.

tanks are pretty bad. take the role of the healer in sabway and replace it with a physical damage dealer.
if you wanna run discordway just run a monk with discord on your bar.

SabWay lacks interrupts and hex removal. Fix those and you're good.

yep, discordway usually kills things faster than they can do a whole lot so i prefer discord. if running discord just run the standard bar of [assassin's promise][asuran scan][you move like a dwarf][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support] to this add[patient spirit][cure hex] etc.

run --> a crip slash monk, with dstrike or dblow and pain inverter, ruby djinn, and ebon vanguard assins.

then take. 1 ss necro n/mo, with remove hex -- ss, reckless haste, enfeeble blood, cracked armor necro spell , barbs, signet lost souls, remove hex, res chant
- 1 jagged bones minion master, -- jagged bones, summon 2 minions, another summon minoin the one that dies then comes back to life as a jagged, death nova, the bile that goes off when thing dies, signet lost souls, rotting flesh, flesh of my flesh
- 1 nrt healers- WoR , mend body soul, spirt light, PoT, life, blind was mingson,

- this makes 4man zones a breeze

I don't think Asuran Scan is affected by the attacks of an EVAS.

not really sure on attribs,somthing like 10 deadly 10+1+1 prot 10+1 smite and whatevers left in heal,use it with discord and watch stuff die..if Castigation signet isnt enough energy manage drop rez for somthing else,but if your carful about not spamming skills that dont need to be used(like ymlad on foes with 75% health that already have a condition/ect) it should be fine.

Optional skills:[Strength of Honor][Great Dwarf weapon] or [ebon vanguard assassin support] or [shadow fang][you move like a dwarf][holy strike](that's my favorite), rez etc.

Heroes don't matter. Just give them good builds.

Hmm...seems like Discordway is becoming more popular than Sabway? I still recommend trying Sabway first though, maybe because it has helped me more.

May be a little off-topic but when I try running discordway in HM, my group is having problem surviving and taking out stuffs. I was trying to beat Tahnnakai Temple HM for example, the Temple Guardians's AoEs hits so hard that my h/h lose almost half of their health. And when I face the Afflicted, the rit heals my target and discord couldn't spike it down fast enough.
Any suggestion?

edit: Ty Joe. I just found out I had master's death set to 0....Hence no minion, no discord.....I'm so noob><

AoE mobs:
1. Flag h&h back. Prot yourself. Walk in soak initial dmg. Walk back within range of your h&h.
2. Interrupts on heroes are useful. [Power Return] is great due to its fast recharge since mobs have unlimited energy.
3. Take [Light of Deliverance]. It's still an awesome elite.
4. If you absolutely need to, flag each hero in a separate spot and put the hench in another and keep your distance from them. Then pull. This is slow and tiresome but works when nothing else does.
5. [Technobabble] along with [Epidemic] can work wonders.

Discordway allows for a lot of flexibility. Maybe the rest of the skills on your hero bars aren't up to snuff.
As a monk, I prefer to have a mostly hybrid bar with [Necrosis] for calling targets. The heroes are pretty much all offensive. I add 3 offensive hench and a healer hench. Most discordway bars are way too defensive, imo, and heroes are much better at offense than hench so I'd rather not use them for defense if I can avoid it.
With useful AoE hexes and conditions already available to necros, I don't feel the need to set my bar to the standard Assassin's Promise build.

I'd at least try sabway. For 4 men areas as a monk I'd drop N/Rt healer and take some damage hero instead and play as hybrid monk myself. For 8 men areas, full sab hero team, you as hybrid or prot monk and 4 damage hench, maybe one healer instead if having problems. Also I'd include at least pain inverter for monk bar, comes handy against nasty bosses and other hard hitting enemies.

You can pretty much replace the elites of sabway for discord, drop a aoe hex like [[shadow of fear], tune some attributes and have an instant souped damage sabway, so there is really no point to turn down discord
